Like in the Windows 98 - XP era, now.
UneXPected result, like this mod, something totally different.
An all-terrain mod to test for curiosity the other way to play with.

This eXPerimental repack allows you play
in Software mode and Hardware mode, same
way as in origin time, yes 20+ years ago

You say YEAHH again, ok BUT again NO, not same years ago..
now is compatible for modern systems/OS.
That dual mode its back, again..
Tested on TDR2000 Max Pack, Rage-o-Rama and a Carmageddon TDR2000 clean install. All ok!!

DxCfg (stock). For SW mode.
dgVoodoo2.86.1 (dgVoodooCpl.exe, dgVoodooCpl.conf and D3DImm.dll). For Direct3D mode.

Install, configure, play!

Hey..!! Time to start to try make it work.
Installing..:
Unzip the files at your Carmageddon TRD2000 root, at your own risk for sure. ^^
Replace all and enjoy, ready, if you want dont replace all make a backup of your files first, dont replace..
But you need them if dont have em.. maybe that happen, so!

Well, installed, time to first contact..

Step 00.
Starting, and restarting..:
At first launch TDR2000 try to autodetect the hardware, Accept.
Now select your resolution favourite and click Play.
Quit the game and follow the steps on the pics here on the mod.
And/Or this textual steps in words! The more easy at your choice.

Step 01.
Go to:
TDRLauncher, setup, options, on Graphics API configure your DirectX settings.
Direct3D T&L HAL 1024x768x32 (60 Hz), (and not check the run in a window)
Texture Quality at 100%

Step 02.
Now configure your Software Renderer, max is 640x480x8 (60 Hz) and Texture Quality at 100%

Step 02b.
Select one of your 2 APIs (Direct3D o SW) and Accept.

Step 03.
Open DxCfg.exe and select to your fav screen resolution, by example 1024x768 (60 Hz)
Note: (remember match the one selected for Direct3D, if is higher than that can be show pixelated..).
Both modes use the selected in DxCfg.exe, this control the final resolution and
Fullscreen/Windowed modes force them to work, alt-tab friendly anytime.
Save n Exit.

End:
Ok, time to start the engines.. and check what happen.

Later if you want can back to TDRLauncher options, change the API,
accept and start without touch any config more. Anytime!

Warning!
Dont leave the Presentation* on Set by application (Default), change to FS/WND modes.

Note:
Feel the freedom of the TDR2000 era and much more than that times with more funny times.

Common issues:

In my test both modes have crashed like always, not an issue.

Tested on Windows 8, 10 & 11.
